The Aussie duo offer up another selection of electro magic with 'This Boy's In Love' from their upcoming sophomore effort 'Apocalypso'. Australia seems to be the place to be for the electronica these days, with Pendulum and Cut Copy both delivering fantastic albums already this year. The Presets look like they are set to follow.
They have been releasing above average singles for the past three years, but have yet to release anything substantially great until now. 'This Boy's In Love' is the first retro-electro record that actually sounds genuine and could almost be a Depeche Mode release circa '87. Driven by an infectious acid-house bassline, and a sharp piano riff, it's the most melodic single from the duo so far. They may have gone a bit crazy with Julian Hamilton's vocal effects, but all is forgiven. Check out the excellent remix by Kim.
