Morrissey is back on the warpath and his critics had better watch out, as the daffodil-throwing fop of old is long gone and in his place now stands a particularly pissed-off looking brickie. As usual, it's difficult to discern at which points that Manchester's poet in exile is being serious and at which points his tongue is planted firmly in his cheek; he informs on the one hand that "there's so much destruction all over the world and all you can do is complain about me" before then telling us that he was "a small fat child in a welfare house".
Like an old bickering couple, in some decaying and dysfunctional relationship, both sides can't stand the sight of each other, but the thought of separation seems much worse. He signs off with the coda "you're gonna miss me when I'm gone", which is ironic, as when Mozza takes the pen out of the holster he rarely misses.
