Coldplay have announced they are to make the first single from their forthcoming album available as a free download.
'Violet Hill' can be downloaded at www.coldplay.com from 12.15pm, 29th April for one week only. The track will get its debut on the radio at the same time. The single will then be available as a general release on 6th May.
The band have also announced they will play two free shows in June to celebrate the new album 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends', which will now be released on 12th June.
