You may very well recognise this lot as the Midlands four piece who emerged triumphant from the Jo Whiley fronted Mobile Act unsigned competition which recently graced our beloved television screens. The show itself may have bypassed my attention but the other wannabees must have been pretty darn atrocious if this was the best on offer.
So what do they actually sound like then? 'Highness' is caught in the black hole of late Nineties Britpop with its uninspired guitar riffs and ridiculous helium assisted vocals. It's a track so bad that even touring mates The Hoosiers would turn it down, and is accompanied by a video so irritating the idea of human dart boards becomes strangely appealing. I have absolutely no idea how this band have over 36,000 MySpace friends but the guys better get down to confession sharpish as they have more than a lot to answer for.

For someone who "bypassed" the show and by his own admission has "absolutely no idea", I find your opinion not only ill-informed and but also smacking of error.
Surely their competition win, fan base surpassing 35000 and likely high chart entry next week contradicts your almost predictable taunt against anything popular. I watched mobileact and do not think it akin to other talent shows, namely X factor and such like.
Personally I think its a great debut track. But each to their own
