The Shins' keyboardist Marty Crandall will not face charges for assaulting his girlfriend, after the case was dropped.
Crandall was arrested in Sacramento, California, on 4th January after allegedly assualting his girlfriend Elyse Sewell. He appeared in court on 8th January, where the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence. Sewell had also been facing a charge, but a spokesperson for the Sacramento County District Attorney's office said: "Both defendants have not been charged. The case was rejected due insufficient evidence."
