The Courteeners sit patiently in amongst their ballooning hype and buzz. In the last few weeks alone, this Leeds outfit have been name checked everywhere from NME to Radio 1. Possibly quite deservedly so, but right now in 'Acrylic' you may well find a slightly amateurish outfit with a far from perfect pop song.
However, despite perhaps sounding a bit like The Enemy supernannied, these guys are definitely on their way. Already mastered is the Mancunian swagger, the heart-on-sleeve approach and the readiness to work their asses off.
A mightier record is needed to push this four-piece out there and into the public arena. You suspect that mightier record is imminent.
