We Are Scientists drummer Michael Tapper has quit the band.
No reason has been given yet for the departure, which comes just days before the New York trio were meant to start their UK tour. In a statement, the remaining two members said: "Michael Tapper has relinquished his duties as drummer of We Are Scientists in order to pursue other things."
The tour is to go ahead as planned, but a replacement drummer has not yet been named.
