Here, Jesse Malin delivers a soppy, MOR ballad called 'Love Streams'. The track plods along, built up by acoustic guitar and interspersed piano throughout the verses before reaching a chorus built on harmonies and soaring guitars worthy of waving your lighters to. Malin's voice sounds at times like a nasal Johnny Rzeznik sans the soul, and some of the lyrics are pretty cringe-worthy - "Spent my childhood at the movies/with Lenny Bruce and young Joe Buck/one day you'll wake up and you're 30/and you can't even drive a truck" for example.
However, what you do get here is a well-produced and well-structured song which will probably be massive in the States. It's just not particularly interesting.
