The commercial indie blueprint is right here - it's fast-paced, incorporating punk-ish drumming and guitars that are like quick jabs to the ribs in a boxing ring. It's not until the chorus that the song finds real substance, and the band's musical prowess shines through. As they "swim through the fields of hate", the song grows into a much bigger beast than the opening chords ever promise.
There is a beauty in the song that resounds throughout its later moments. There is also a definite element of self reflection in the lyrics which will help it to appeal to many people struggling in the confines of a relationship - it may even save a few of them. All you need is a catalyst apparently, and some grandiose guitar workings and soft-as-velvet vocal stylings will no doubt help things also.
