The Long Blondes Debut Song At Tate
More on: The Long Blondes

The Long Blondes are to debut a new track at the Tate Modern in London, as part of an event that attaches listening posts to artwork.

The artwork that inspired the The Long Blondes to write new track 'The Unbearable Lightness Of Building' was Jannis Kournellis' 'Untitled' from 1979. In a statement, the band said: "Untitled (1979) caught our eye because we saw the stark industrial landscape and picture ourselves within it."

The track will also be available from 1st May until the end of November at www.tatetracks.org.uk.

The project is part of the 12-week long Tate Tracks which, according to a statement "(Attempts) to match inspirational visual art with inspirational new music". Klaxons, Graham Coxon and Sway have already taken part, with Man Like Me and Lethal Bizzle to contribute in the near future.
