Looking like a younger, fresher Lenny Kravitz, Leon Jean Marie carries a subtle air of confidence and rightly so - 'Scratch' is a great debut single, proving that, as predicted, he is destined for big things.
'Scratch' manages to merge an urban sound with a soulfully edgy voice, a funky bassline layered with a heavy guitar chorus and handclaps.
Impressively, flipside 'Make It Right', hears Leon Jean Marie's vocals sound a little Beck-like; slightly colder and a touch more stern, but still maintaining the funky beat.
