To suggest Hot Chip are riding the wave of pop's resurgence might be a tad mean to the band, but there's something about 'Over And Over' that's destined to appeal to the masses, and could well be how the band earned their Mercury Prize nomination.
With the repetition of key phrase "over and over" over and over again, creating an alliteration for the senses, if nothing else they're adept at reinforcing the idea of the track.
Unless you're part of an Elton John-style crowd obsessing over the meaning of lyrics, like the rest of us you'll be thoroughly enjoying this slice of electro-pop from the band's second album 'The Warning'.
