'You Know I Love You' is the second single from Leeds' latest indie darlings The Pigeon Detectives, and it's a fantastically dirty rock 'n roll song guaranteed to get boys and girls alike very hot and sweaty - on or off the dancefloor. The chorus begs to be yelled out at gigs - complete with pogoing and thumping fists - and may encourage some to strip off. 'You Know I Love You' is a line that surely no girl in the 21st Century would actually believe, but when the music's this good, who really cares about love?
B-Side 'Wait For Me' possesses quite possibly the best shouty chorus since, well, The Automatic, and shows The Pigeon Detectives have a knack for writing high-energy songs that make you want to jump around and shout. Watch out, Kaiser Chiefs!
