Re-releases, eh? They're one of the most annoying things in the world for any serious music fan. The last thing you want is for a song you've loved for months to be dragged out until you're sick to death of hearing it: here's looking at you, Editors.
The thing about 'The Great Escape' is that it's such an insanely catchy beast, the re-release is entirely excusable. Justified, even. The guitar riff is too instantly danceable to go without credit from the masses. The bassline is too loud and blatant to pass by without note. Bearded drummer Michael Tapper's part is too frantic and urgent to be ignored. And the video - featuring extremely delectable singer Keith Murray in the shower, fangirls - is too funny not to be enjoyed once more.
All is forgiven, We Are Scientists - we won't be getting sick of this one anytime soon.
