Reports suggest that Sheffield sensation Arctic Monkeys have refused an invitation to play at this year's Brit Awards ceremony. A source for the band told tabloid newspaper The Sun "The awards are screened around the world and are a great showcase. But the lads hate doing TV shows.
"They feel it's a bit uncool and that they have so much hype surrounding them it is unnecessary to be there.
"They only did one TV show for T4 and hated every minute. They have vowed never to go on Top of the Pops or CD:UK."
It's reported that nearly 200,000 copies of 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' have been sold already.
